A person has died following another water-related incident overnight in the Coromandel.

Police said a man has died at Coroglen, which is about 5km south of Whitianga.

This death comes less than a day after the drowning at Opoutere Beach, where one person has died, six were rescued and one remains missing.

The death has been referred to the coroner.
