One dead in Ruakākā crash

One person has died following a two-car crash in Ruakākā, Northland this evening.

Police were called to the crash on One Tree Point Road at 5.40pm.

Another person suffered moderate injuries in the accident.

Police said the road is expected to remain closed for some time while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene and drivers should avoid the area.
