A diesel spill has closed a road in rural Northland.

A police spokesperson said before 2.30pm, a truck rolled on Waiotira Road, between Bartlett and Hilford Roads.

There are no serious injuries, however the section of road is expected to be closed for a number of hours while the spill is cleared.

Diversions will be in place through nearby Paparoa and Waikiekie Roads.
