Police are appealing for help to identify a woman who was found in her wheelchair on State Highway 1 at Pakaraka near Kaikohe in Northland today.

Police need the public’s help so they can establish who she is so she can be reunited with her family.

They say the woman may be from Auckland.

She has shoulder length grey hair and is wearing a pink top.

Anyone who knows who the woman is asked to call police on 105, quoting job number P057476015.
