Armed police are responding to an incident in the Far North on Tuesday.
A police spokesperson said police had been at the incident on Wainui Valley Rd, Kāeo, since it was reported at about 10.50am.
Armed police attended as a precaution and inquiries were ongoing into the circumstances, the police spokesperson said.

At 1.40pm, no injuries were reported and there was no immediate risk to the public.
Police are speaking to those involved.
Members of the public reported on social media they had seen at least nine police cars rushing to the incident.
Wainui Valley is a rural coastal community.
