Shayden Perkinson died after allegedly getting into an altercation with two men last Saturday night.
Two men charged with the murder of Shayden Perkinson, who was fatally stabbed while protecting a woman in Whangārei, have ben granted name suppression.
The pair, aged 24 and 29, were unable to appear in court on Friday due to being hospital.
Two others facing charges in relation to the killing, did appear in court today and were also granted interim name suppression.
One, aged 25, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and unlawful possession of a pistol, while a 54-year-old was charged jointly with the unlawful possession of a pistol.

Lawyers for those two men appeared on their behalf via video link in front of Judge Jonathan Moses in the Manukau District Court on Friday.
Perkinson, 25, got into an altercation with two men at the Raumanga Gull petrol station on Saturday night and was left with stab wounds as a result.
All four arrests were announced on Thursday and Detective Inspector Dene Begbie said the two not charged with murder were charged with crimes relating to the search of a South Auckland house.
Three of the group were remanded in custody, with the 54-year-old released on bail. The men are set to next appear in the High Court at Whangārei on May 12.
Begbie said Perkinson’s death had touched many across Raumanga and wider communities this week and police’s “thoughts are with his whānau”.
A tangihanga for Perkinson was held in Whangārei on Thursday.
