Neville Thomson, who was 69, was found dead at the rural Pānguru property last Thursday.

Three dogs escaped the Puketawa Road property when police arrived at the scene.

Two were found last week and the Far North District Council said the last dog had now been located.

Twenty-five neo mastiff crosses and bulldog crosses were rounded up at the property.

They are being held at the Far North District Council’s animal shelter, while another dog was shot at the scene.
