A humble, community-focused group that likes to quietly get on with the mahi rather than make a fuss — one of their favourite sayings translates as ‘don’t be a show-off’ — shocked themselves by winning

“Water quality has improved, clarity has improved, flow has improved. And the smell. There used to be a really musty smell in summer — it wasn’t a natural thing — but we don’t have that anymore.”
