Police are asking for sightings of a car involved in the death a man in Northland last year.
Tiena Pickering died in Ruakākā last October, and police arrested and charged two men with firearms offences in the days following.
Detective Inspector Al Symonds said they were not looking for anyone else involved in Pickering’s death, but police are continuing to search for a “vehicle of interest”.
The car, a green 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer, was driven between Whangārei and Warkworth by a man wearing a brown camouflage jacket on 12 October, Symonds said.
“Please contact us if you are familiar this car, or believe you have CCTV or dashcam footage of it between Whangārei, Warkworth and Ruakākā,” Symonds said.
The two men arrested last year, aged 28 and 29 years old, will appear in the Whangārei District Court on separate dates on 12 March and 26 April.
Anyone who may have seen the car should call 105 or Crime Stoppers, quoting file number 231012/4721, police said.
